OUR NEW NORMAL

We are in unprecedented times. With the ongoing spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) we, at Capital Center, are placing your health and well-being among our highest priorities.

As you will come into our AAAHC Surgical Center, we have established the following guidelines for patient and staff safety.

Temperature Screening

Mandatory To All Vistors

Staff will take every visitor’s temperature, not allowing visitors to come in if the temperature is abnormal.

CLASS II AIR PURIFIER

FDA APPROVED TO KILL AIR VIRUSES

The first-available PECO air purifier with FDA 510(k) Class II Medical Device Clearance for medical purposes to destroy viruses and bacteria in the air.

FUME EVACUATOR

New Shark II Evacuators added to all surgeries,

Oral healthcare professionals are exposed to surgical smoke proven to carry viruses, CO, and other chemical and biological hazards. The Smoke Shark II minimizes exposure to these toxic smoke plumes during surgery.

RAPID TEST - COVID -19

Prior to all Surgeries

We will be screening patients before going into surgery with a RAPID ANTIBODY COVID 19 TEST, prior to all surgeries.

PATIENT DISTANCING

We will minimize any contact whit patients who arrive at Capital Center

We rearranged spaces and protocols to isolate patients while they remain on-premises. Escorts have been reduced to only 1 per patient.

As Requested:

We are going VIRTUAL, Consultations, Post OP, and Follow ups!

If you can avoid coming in – why not? You can now request your consultations, follow up or post-op appointments to be Virtual.

COVID 19 TESTING PRIOR SURGERIES

Because of the extreme risk for spreading COVID-19, we have established that treatments and surgeries of any patients where the procedure requires the use of a handpiece generating aerosol spray, will be required to be tested for COVID -19 before the surgery takes place.

The use of regular protective masks in today’s environment when aerosols of bodily fluids are possible will not be adequate to protect you, our staff, or anyone else in that surgical room. Together with the new normal inside of our surgical rooms, we will apply COVID-19 TESTS to patients in 3 stages, minimizing the possible risk of the virus spreading inside our facility.
